Abstract

Background. The strategy of education development determines a set of tasks for the system of general education, among which the first place is taken by mastering of the system of base knowledge and skills by the elementary school students, their successful introduction to study activity, formation of educational self-dependence. These tasks absolutely meet the requirements of the Federal State Educational Stan-dards on new generation, determining the transition to achieving the new educatio-nal result on the basis of the level approach. However, the real pedagogical practice is far from the suggested FSES educational goals, views on the new educational re-sults and approaches to measurement and assessment thereof. The explanatory-illustrative method, the authoritarian pedagogical style, the strict system of external control and assessment, still prevailing at the school, could provide transfer of only the necessary sum of knowledge to pupils. However, these means are incapable of developing such qualities as self-dependence and responsibility, creativity and communicability, ability to set and solve problems, to acquire new knowledge, and other key component of the new educational result. All the above mentioned proves the presence of a significant contradiction: the Russian system of education requires to obtain the new educational result, and the existing pedagogical practice (the dis-torted understanding of the educational result, the undeveloped condition of diag-nostic instruments for the result alteration, unreadiness of teachers to adapt to the new innovative content of education and modern educational technologies) is incap-able of providing such result. The goal of the study is to reveal the relevance of us-ing test tasks for assessment of study achievements of primary school students, based on the level approach realized in the standards of the new generation.
Materials and methods. Realization of the research tasks was achieved on the ba-sis of the analysis of the modern condition of research in study achievements as-sessment of pupils, as well as on investigation of the experience of assessment ac-tiveity by teachers, their readiness to adapt to the innovative content of education and modern technologies in education, including on the basis of the level approach to educational results assessment. To solve the research problem the author used the methods of collection, systematization and analysis of information, the survey me-thod. It allowed to introduce the distinctive features of the suggested system of as-sessment based on the level approach realized in the standards of the second genera-tion. For this purpose the researcher used the methods of theoretical and compara-tive analysis, the methods of synthesis, generalization, projecting, simulation, systematization, algorithm development.
Results. The research revealed the topicality of test tasks usage for assessment of study achievemnts of primary school students, their successful introduction into educational activity, formation of educational self-dependence. The author described the distinctive features of the suggested assessment system meeting the specifics of the level approach realized in the standards of the second generation.
Conclusions. The analysis of the modern condition of research in study achieve-ments assessment of pupils, main directions of research in the world science, as well as examination of the experience of assessment activity of teachers allow to under-stand the features of the assessment system meeting the specifics of the level ap-proach realized in the standards of the second generation, to take into account the problems of teachers‟ readiness for adaptation of the innovative content of education and modern educational technologies, to determine new directions of further re-search of the scientific problem.
